Chiropractor
I grew up in a small town in Dorset, England, where nature shaped much of my childhood. Whether exploring the mesmerising Jurassic coastline or deep in the Devon woodlands, I felt deeply connected to the outdoors. When I wasn't immersed in nature, I was chasing an oval ball on the rugby pitch. Rugby taught me a valuable lesson: how my body functioned affected not just my performance on the field but every aspect of my life.
This realisation became the foundation of my journey into chiropractic. After suffering multiple injuries, I turned to chiropractic care when 'traditional' approaches offered only slight improvement. My first experience with a chiropractor was eye-opening. I felt truly seen and heard. The chiropractor explained health and healing in a way that resonated deeply with me, viewing the body as a whole rather than individual parts. He spoke about the nervous system, the most important system in the body impacting my ability to heal. When the nervous system was in balance, it controlled every cell within my body, allowing me to live a better quality of life.
As a chiropractor, every day I witness how interconnected our internal and external environments are. When we achieve balance within, it manifests in our outer world. More than anything, I see chiropractic as a lifestyle rather than a healthcare. The 'chiropractic lifestyle' respects and honours nature's (and therefore our body's) healing powers and emphasises community and proactive growth.
With both of my parents being teachers and knowing that the original meaning of 'doctor' is 'teacher,' I approach my care with a passion for educating others. I love empowering people to discover the healing power within themselves and their surroundings. With awareness comes growth and change, and supporting a community of individuals on their healing journeys is something I deeply value. When we see others thriving and doing what they love, it inspires us to do the same. I'm always excited to draw out an individual's innate potential, starting that ripple effect that will allow them to live more joyful, fulfilling, and vibrant lives.
