Chiropractor
I grew up in New Zealand, living a very outdoorsy lifestyle like many others in my hometown. Despite that, I constantly saw people in ailing health, and the "normal" healthcare system wasn't helping them. As a young teenager, I watched the end of my father's life extended by medical interventions but at a trade-off for his quality of life.
I always knew I wanted to help my community with their health because of what I saw, but it wasn't until I discovered chiropractic that I felt truly inspired. Chiropractic aligned perfectly with what I already knew: the human body can heal itself when we create the right environment for it to do so. We are born with the innate intelligence we need to heal because nature is clever. So, our bodies are clever, too.
When I received my first adjustment, all I knew about chiropractic was that it kept my mum happy while she was under care. I quickly learned how powerful regular chiropractic care could be after experiencing a massive improvement in my mental health and ability to deal with stress during my youth.
When I started practising, I watched my clients' lives wholly transform. They gained back the function they had lost in recent years and managed to achieve things they never dreamed were possible. Their health was no longer holding them back. These days, what I enjoy most about being a chiropractor is the "miracle" stories we hear weekly and the small wins I hear daily from my clients as they step into their true, confident, authentic selves.
I am passionate about helping people learn more about their bodies so they can heal better and take control of their future. Healing is a process that improves the quality of life of both the person on my table and those who surround them. I contribute to a better community and world by putting my heart and soul into caring for the people around me with chiropractic.
